From what I remember when the announcement of moderators had been selected; well they were all essentially GOP media minions. Like CNN Chrone Candy Crowley . Anyone else having concerns?

debate was a tie. A debate can be twisted into something that defies logic depending on the moderators and the post-debate spin by the media.

My concern with Rmoney is that he will be debating the Invisible, RW-created Obama instead of the real person standing there on stage. It'll be interesting to see if the mods let him get away with that.

6. I think that if Romney speaks as if to the RW fantasy Obama, he will have his head handed to him

Consider that in the first 2004 debate, that is what happened to Bush when asked about why he went to war. He spoke saying the same thing that every RW talk person and every Fox commentator said - speaking of how "they attacked us'"

This gave Kerry, an exceptional debater, a HUGE opportunity. When it was his turn, Kerry quietly but strongly said that Bush had just said something important - and he repeated what Bush said - and then said, "Mr President, SH did not attack us, OBL did" which set Bush to stammering that "he knew that"

Romney has to avoid repeating RW "truisms" that he speaks on the stump that echo the RW lies on talk radio and FOX. Obama has the same ability to actually listen and will call him Romney out if he does this - and would bet that he and Kerry might even be practicing things like this using some of the more embedded RW CW.

Remember that Obama also has one advantage over Romney that Kerry did not have - Obama is the President and Romney will have to be respectful. Remember more than 50% of the people LIKE Obama. Any hint of disrespect may make FR happy, but will not win the people on the fence. Also consider that Obama is far better than Bush - so even if Romney could magically become as good as Kerry, he could not dominate the debates as Kerry did.

Barring illness (think Nixon in 1960), both Biden and Obama will prevail; they both thrive in the face of adversity.

That translates to changing subjects when their boys get into trouble instead of waiting to see where it goes. Bank on it.

for their news, opinions, etc. They will watch the debates and hit twitter, facebook, e-mail, alternative sources for the after-effect. With the advent of social networks, everyone has an avenue to express their opinion, their thoughts and no longer have to listen to the talking heads without recourse, they now have avenues to answer back and that is VERY good, imo.

His positions are simply evidence that for him and the GOP, their ends justify their means in their minds. They are right, so if they need to lie because you disagree with them, so be it.
