Morning Joe: "Game, Set, Match" re Democratic advantage to date.

For the Republican chattering class they have a decision to make. Are they going to sacrifice their own credibility in the GE or are they going to get out front in the "I told you so" race.

Joe started the race this morning with this contribution. I am guessing O'Reilly will be next up.

On Friday morning, Scarborough had nothing but positive things to say about Obama's performance. "We were 10 minutes into the president's speech last night... and I just sat there thinking, 'game, set, match, the Democrats have trounced the Republicans in these conventions,'" he recalled.

He said that "Obama connected himself with the American Dream for the first time" at the convention, and that his speech was "obviously so much better than everybody at Tampa."

. . .

"I mean how overshadowed does Mitt Romney look right now? How terrible, how flat, how dull does the Tampa convention look right now?" Scarborough said. "Republicans blew it... in part it has to do with the fact that we nominated a candidate... that our base wasn't excited about."

Who/what would that look like?

Scarborough just can't come to terms with the deeper problem; the Norquist Party has gone off the rails. As Obama phrased it, "take two tax cuts, roll back regulations and call me in the morning" is the same thing they have been selling for 30 years and it has run its course.

he hides everything he does

Bain Capital - when did he really leave??
Olympics - records destroyed
Governor Mass. - records destroyed
Tax returns - the people do not need to see them according to Willard and Ann

Open the doors Willard and let the people see the real Willard

thank Joe Scarborough for his honest estimation of this political race. I am so fired up from the last 3 nights of the DNC that I have gone and found the nearest Obama campaign office to me to volunteer.

Somewhere in the early 2000s Joey had a falling out with the party powers that be. He was passed over for what was a sure Senate seat that led him to quit Congress and head to teeveeland. To this day we don't know the details but Joey's rapid fall from the party hierarchy during the boooosh years may have a lot to do with his attitudes today. He was on the outside looking in on his own corrupt party but kept relevant with his appearance on the teevee (similar to Raygun's exile in the mid 70s). I'm betting Joey is hoping he can use his media exile like St. Ronnie...build up a "base" and not be associated with the political disaster that is the current rushpublican party. He's positioning himself with other vultures (Mike Hucklenutz) waiting for a big loss in November and hope to fill the power vacuum that is sure to ensue. You can see Joey chomping at the bits to get back into the game...and a big loss not only to the teabaggers but the party elite is the opening he just can't resist...

The intern story has long been a major cause celebre in our side of the sandbox...and, yes, I'm still curious what happened all those years ago. In the right wing world it's another story...the attacks on him by Kos and others would be seen as a positive. Look at the criminals and ethical crooks the rushpublicans have nominated and supported in recent years. Joey pissed off the power elite...he's an arrogant asshole and you can see on this show how he doesn't really play well with others.

If Google were a disqualifier for national office Sick Rectorum...err Rick Santorum would have slithered into palookaville where he deserves to be.

because it was real enough it couldn't be scrubbed and I didn't want to detail the dirt. My feeling was, at the time, this was definitely a set up to keep him controlled and, like Teddy Kennedy and Gary Condit, it will follow him forever...right or wrong, true or false.

With all due respect, Rick Santorum's "gay problem" is nothing (well, perhaps a lesser crime) compared to a pretty intern who was murdered inside Joe's headquarters/office...even for the nutjobs.
