Charlie Crist was talking to Florida..very respected there

If that short speech, about the Republican party leaving him, helps to get just 2 percent of that vote..just one in fifty..then it was worth it. Those 29 electoral votes in our hands are very very important. We get those, and well.......you know the rest. Yes, he was controversial, but he is very well respected and liked in Florida..yes, it was very very ugly. But that 2 percent that follow and like him, could put us over..maybe not, but maybe. And this war. We need every vote..every one.

how is that supposed to translate into votes for the democrats? Non-RW republicans don't have another party to vote for that isn't democratic.

The jerk down there now, Scott is very radical and is trying to destroy public education there. Many are very angry with him, and will react by voting for Obama..that is the key..(enough of this crap of Scott and Romney...I will support someone I trust Christ and Obama, that is it)

But charlie's nick name here in floriduh is "empty chair charlie", for a reason. As governor he was always gone and constantly changing positions.

pitchman for the biggest ambulance chasing law firm in Florida - Morgan and Morgan. Does really goofy commercials and billboards all over the place. Doesn't really seem dignified to me.

He was drunk as can be. My inlaws were there and said his slurring of the words "Osama Bin Laden" was all-time comical, especially given the setting.

He's a world class ambulance chaser, no doubt. Makes a ton of jack. Gives a ton to Democrats.

Still mocked.

In Central Florida we're still trying to clean up the area from the corrupt Republicans who he depended on for campaign money. When he was governor and statute of limitations were ticking away, he did nothing to challenge them. On the contrary. They buoy each other up. Until he distances himself from them, you can't really broad-brush and say he's respected in Florida.
