Mitt idolized his bigger-than-life father, George Romney who was such an enormous success in business.

One of the keys to George's continued success was his ability to fight off a corporate raider who bought up shares of American Motors stock and seemed poised to try to sell off company assets and take a profit." I guess all that time Mitt spent at his father's side didn't teach him as much as he thought.

(47,399 posts)I noticed that about Romney a year ago. It was like GW all over again, trying to one-up his Daddy. It rarely ends up well.
