I don't need to pledge to a flag to love America. The GOP has a pledge fetish. They think by saying it, it makes you more American. Any idiot can recite a pledge, it's what you do for America that matters.

and keeping Gays from getting married
Makes God not want to bring Armaggedon.

And hoarding guns and money will mean they will survive the apocolyps

the Pledge of Allegiance was written by Francis Bellamy, a Baptist Minister and a Socialist.

Bellamy's original Pledge as written in 1892:

I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
