I think in terms of narratives, particularly on-line narratives, it is very significant that the truth is known. I think it matters.

And to people who think it does not matter, it's just one of the things wrong with society on what equality means.
At this point I will leave it to ignorance, but that will only work for a short time.

(14,061 posts)Conservative Catholics have been upset that Obama has been invited to New York's Al Smith Dinner. I'm thinking inviting Dolan to the convention was a way of trying to calm waters. Quite frankly, I wouldn't have bothered, given the general attitude of conservative Catholics toward Obama. They would not vote for him even if he were Christ incarnate.
