There will be at least one bloviating bobble-head (is Fred Barnes still around) who will say, high-handedly and authoritatively, that the DNC gave Obama a bump in personal popularity, but did not change the race with Romney any. And they will explain why this is so and why it is bad for Obama. They will have a theoryprobably that people like Obama but do not want to vote for him.
The reason they will say this is that they don't understand that the Gallup daily tracking poll of Presidential job approval is a three-day rolling average and the Gallup tracking poll of Obama vs. Romney is a 7-day rolling average. So the approval number reacts to events faster and harder.
Watch for it, and whoever says it can be reliably dismissed from now until the end of time.
