Romney will lose. Now it's time to focus on the House and Senate.

Romney is a loser candidate, the Repukes knew they couldn't beat Obama, so they picked an ass to sacrifice on the altar. The real fight is for those house seats and senate seats. If we do not retain the senate and regain the house we will get absolutely nothing done.

Please, if you live in a district where you could actually cause a flip, do what you can to help. Money is nice, but if you have more time than money please volunteer. We need to retake the house. The Senate we can possibly keep though it's iffy right now and a rule change could make it so we could pass legislation if Reid has the stones to actually use it this go around. But without the house we'll just see a repeat of the last two years. Presidents initiatives go nowhere while the house votes to repeal Obamacare and ban abortion repeatedly every day knowing it won't actually go anywhere or do anything but waste time. So get out there and make it happen, I'm sure your local campaign would be happy to see you.

I have no idea why, I didn't think that Massachusetts was such a Republican bastion. Perhaps I just don't understand the culture there and am looking at it from the lens of someone who lives in the bay area.

with the native American brouhaha. Also, Massachusetts has an historical tendency to not elect women to its highest offices, especially Senator/Governor.

3. They didn't 'pick' anyone. Or was Palin another devious plot twist?

The GOP is falling to pieces from their own hubris and incompetence.

But I agree it's time to focus on the Congressional races.

4. We can't take our eye off the ball, I think we are capable of focusing on both Congress and Pres.

The Congressional fights are more localized with support from everywhere when necessary.

Here in Ohio, we are working to keep Sherrod Brown in the Senate.

and will likely win by quite a bit. The only one of the five seats mentioned in polling was Peter Defazio (as likely D) and that maybe because there was a shift in his district which now includes the wretched town I grew up in which is full of rednecks. Defazio will still kick the Republicans asses though.

I donated some money to Warren's campaign, but it wasn't much.

and the jackass they have running against him is a complete nut job. I think DeFazio will win. It would be a damn disgrace if we lost him as a congressman. He has been one of our best.

Which town did you grow up in?

11. I was alarmed to see that the Dems might lose the Senate. Really. It looks bad. I can't change it

I can't change it here in TX. We're Republican. Except for my U.S. Rep, I think. I always vote Dem., and it never makes any difference except for that rep. (I live in a Dem. district in the midst of a dark red state.)

In my state, I have given the Elizabeth Warren, Emily's list (national funder for women candidates), and my local democratic State Senator and democratic candidate for the State Legislature. I want Warren to win, but I want my state to stay deep blue, that is why I an sending money to the locals.
