15 percent of Ohio GOP voters think Romney deserves credit for Bin Laden raid

To be honest, I thought it was more than 15 percent of people who wouldn't give Obama credit no matter what, so this is probably good news.

http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2012/09/ohio-republicans-poll-romney-bin-laden

In what some (one guy on Twitter) have called "a stroke of comic genius," Public Policy Polling decided to ask Ohio Republicans who they thought "deserved more credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden: Barack Obama or Mitt Romney. In what some (my colleague Tim Murphy) have called "the greatest thing ever," a full 15 percent of Ohio Republicans surveyed said Romney deserved more credit than the president. Another 47 percent said they were "unsure." This led to all sorts of funny quips on Twitter:

The secret's out: Seal Team Six referred to Romney and his five sons.

This is amusing, but no one should take it particularly seriously. Significant percentages of Americans claim to believe all sorts of crazy things, and it's possible that a large percentage of the people who told PPP that Romney deserves credit for the bin Laden raid simply wanted to say eff-you to the president.

............this means that a full 62% of Ohio Republicans (think of that number--62%) think the guy who had absolutely NOTHING to do with killing Bin Laden MIGHT deserve more credit than the Commander In Chief.

And these people walk amongst us, folks.

Yet more proof that being a Republican makes you stupid. Or that the stupid are attracted to the Republican Party. I'm not sure which. It's a whole "chicken-egg" thing.

99% of Republicans would have given Ronald Reagan credit.
73% would give Sarah Palin credit.
64% would give Tim Tebow credit.
53% would give Rush Limbaugh credit.
32% would give themselves credit.
19% would give a fictional "Action Figure" credit.

100% would have 100% of the blame to President Obama if the raid had failed.
