Teachers wrong-school board right. This is how Romney sees it.

Today Mitt Romney gave a statement that the teachers in the Chicago strike are hurting students by walking out. He placed the blame for the walkout solely on the teachers for being unreasonable. He doesn't want to know the issues that led to the strike, nor does he care whether negotiations will continue. All he knows is that union teachers are greedy and need to accept whatever is on the table or quit their jobs.

This is a portend of a Mitt Romney White House. Ronald Reagan will appear as a union sympathizer in our rear view mirror compared to what organized labor will see from a Romney administration.

To Emanual's credit, and despite his numerous faults, he ordered the two sides back to the negotiation table to hammer out a deal instead of threatening to end collective bargaining. That's how it's done in a civilized democracy.
