A few years ago, for instance, one of the winners was a burglar who assaulted an old disabled man when the man woke up as his house was being ransacked. As the burglar jumped out the window after beating his victim, the old man swung a crutch at him, catching his shorts just as his weight carried him through the window. The resulting "trauma" amputated both of the burglars testicles.

He was an official Darwin award winner, and he lived to tell the tale (albeit, he probably doesn't find it as funny as we might).
