Let's put our foot on the necks of the Tea Party in November--- and choke it to fucking death.

I don't want it merely fading away in a soft thud--- NO!!!!

I want it screaming like the Witch of the West who just got doused with water.

Let's kill this scourge once and for all!

I live in a small tea town inside a big blue state and I have been surprised by the people that are waking up and becoming politcally active for the first time.

Right now, Obama is giving the GOP a free ride on Medicare. The attacks have been anemic. This should be issue number 1 and we should show no mercy. Some suggestions for ads are in this thread.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1251&pid=90910

Those ads would clobber Ryan -- probably lose him his seat. At minimum, not of his cohort would be willing to touch Medicare for another 10 years, and it would go a long way towards flipping the House our way.

But instead of hard-hitting attacks on Medicare, we have, basically, a pillow fight going on.

millions on ads twisting the Medicare record around. They've essentially turned his Medicare record into a he said/he said situation and the media hasn't done much to set the facts straight.

They (Koch, Rove BFEE, etc.) either buy the country now or they won't get another chance for a very long time. The SCOTUS in place let them throw in however much cash they wanted and we all remember how disputed vote counting was handled in 2000. This election is an attempt at a coup or hostile takeover. The takeover expert is Rmoney, so that is probably why they allowed-steered-guided him to victory during the primaries. They don't give a damn about Mitt, he's only the robosigner in Chief, according to Grover Norquist. We have to win this (appoint new justices) and revisit Citizens United so they can never be in the position to buy the country again. How long it takes before they get another chance depends on the history we make now.

If Obama wins in November there's going to be a whole lot of crazy teabaggers frothing at the mouth over the fact that their party gave a Kenyan socialist Muslim eight years in the White House by running an incompetent RINO loser two elections in a row.

The meltdown will be epic and hilarious.

Just a thought.

Ignorant, racist, careless, messed up emotionally, et cetera. This is a fraction of our society that is far too big for me to feel comfortable about. And it's not just a quantum segment. It fades between multiple segments. And there's more, but it's too long and drawn out to explain. But I'll say this much, it includes some liberals.

This didn't happen overnight. And it's not going away overnight.

What we need to realize is that the tea Party has been in our national psyche for years. Facts alone will not work, you have to break their will, which is only done with hard cold success.

We've humored the cockroaches for long enough. They've added absolutely NOTHING to our national discourse with their ignorant "take your government hands of my medicare" rallies. They definitely need a hobby, maybe BINGO, and someone needs to force them to take courses in civics, social studies, history, etc. I don't care what they do, but I never want to see or hear from them again after Nov 6.

The media has given them a disproportionate share of attention, and the rest has been done with money and with power plays. I agree that the tea party is a god-awful tragedy, but prying their collective fingers off the country (Think of them as an evil two-year-old screaming, "MINE!&quot is going to take some time and effort.
