WooHoo! Unchanged is good.

Today's Gallup poll is unchanged from yesterday on both Obama vs. Romney and Obama approval rating.

I would like the horse-race number to inch up higher, of course, but...

The approval number is a 3-day average while the Obama vs. Romney number is a seven day average.

That means the approval number held up even in the all post-convention Sept 7-9 period.

So that's fine with me. It will probably decline at some point, but I am glad the approval bump wasn't only a factor of having just seen Clinton the previous night or having just seen Obama the previous night.

Also, not that the approval is an almost perfect proxy for the horse-race.

Obama Approval -50%-
Obama Disapproval -44%

Presidential Election
Obama 49%- Romney 44%
