Seems like a tweet or so I missed (and I do miss a lot of them) attacked Joe and she just wasn't having any of that. Methinks it was the dead intern part that really got to her.
Anyway, slowly but surely...
And, if Trump's going dead intern on a newscaster, Biden is really going to have his hands full. Dirtiest campaign in history coming up.

(10,252 posts)use racism to agitate the fears of white trash to vote Republican. Dimwit is completely stuck in mental patterns of anger, envy, greed, fear, insecurity, ill-will, and vengence. He has no ability to control his behavior. No ability to be mindful about his negative emotions. No ability to exercise any self-discipline over his body, speech, and mind. He is an automoton, who habitually reacts to what he finds unpleasant. The more he keeps reacting in the same ol' way, the more he reinforces the mindless bad habits of his body, speech, and mind. He is stuck.
For me, he is a master class in the virtue and self-discipline of ethical morality. A reminder of the truth of karma. I predict that after he loses the election and is out of office, life will get very difficult and unpleasant for him. Great catastrophes of his own making await him.

(7,968 posts)2020 will set a new precedent. 2016 will look like kindergarten name calling by comparison.
Buckle up everyone - we have the political fight of our lives coming up and it may go very very badly regardless of what the voters say.
I have the very bad feeling that several of the deplorables are on the edge of armed treason and November could well ignite that fuel.

(43,049 posts)They are much better at rhetoric than they are at actual violence.
Mighta think they would have learned from Oklahoma City.
This reminds me, though-- back around the 60's we had the Puerto Rican independence or whatever group out there. They did plant bombs, because bombs do get attention. But, too much attention means blowback, so they made these little ones and put them on the sidewalk at night down in the Wall St. area. Very little damage, and very low chance of injury, except for some unlucky passing wharf rats from the Fish Market. Made their point, but that didn't last too long.

(7,968 posts)My concern is that we are in unprecedented times. We can't really look back to see what is likely to happen or how they are likely to react.
I keep trying to game out the following scenario in my mind but can't really see how it turns out:
1. Biden wins (either close or by a landslide, I'm not sure it matters)
2. Trump calls the election a shame and says that Biden and the dems cheated.
3. Trump refuses to concede and his base follows as the sheep that they are.
4. ... (here is where I leave off...) I think the military supports the election winner Biden but I'm not sure that would be what would happen. I think that is the ultimately the key question. Never having lived in a country undergoing this kind of turmoil, and not being a particularly studied student of a history (obviously we have to look beyond recent US history), it is hard to know.
