Sometime late last year ...

... I turned on my TV just in time to catch a fantastic actress/comedienne doing a hilarious ‘bit’ about Trump and the GOP.

She was playing the part of the stereotypical dumb blonde, fluttering her heavily made-up eyes as she rambled on aimlessly about things she obviously didn’t understand. And yet she never wavered in her feigned sincerity, and never let on that she wasn’t actually the idiot she was so brilliantly portraying.

I was amazed at her ability to stay in character, and truly admired the skill required to deliver totally ludicrous statements not only with a straight face, but with a wide-eyed befuddlement as to why anyone would even question the brilliance of Donald Trump and his corrupt, totally spineless enablers.

I was so fascinated, I awaited the end of her flawless performance so I could find out who this incredible satirist was.

That’s when I found out that the show I was watching was actually a political news program, and the ‘comedienne’ was someone named Kayleigh McEnany.

That revelation changed my mind about a few things – but truth be told, her every performance still makes me laugh. She still comes across as a piss-poor understudy who got pushed on-stage to perform the play’s lead by a director who owes a favour to one of his major financial backers.

Kayleigh McEnany’s appointment as WH press secretary is a perfect example of the GOP scraping the bottom of the barrel in the hope that Trump-humpers can better relate to someone who is just as ill-informed, just as vacuous, and just as blatantly stupid as she is.
