Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney's swirling racial controversy.....

On Twitter, former Clemson football player Kanyon Tuttle calls out Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney for allowing an assistant coach to use the N-word during practice with NO repercussions! Here's what he wrote:

"Cap, you allowed a coach to call a player the N-word during practice with no repercussions. Not even a team apology. When we had the sit-in in front of sikes you suggested us players try to stay out of it to limit distractions. Stop protecting your brand, take a stand"

In a since-deleted tweet, Zach Giella, another player, confirmed it:

"I remember that shit like it was yesterday"

Mack Brown is a player's coach; he's apparently really turned their program around in just a year and has a history of valuing his players wellbeing and futures beyond college ball as much as winning. There are more than a few college coaches that recognize that college sports is a tool for a significant number of players to get out of dead end situations and balance that into their tactics and training to reduce injury as much as possible.
Unfortunately, there are more coaches who act like they are trying to extend their glory days of high school or college ball and want to keep winning at any cost.
Sweeny is like Pope Urban Meyer, all talk about morals and good clean living - but ultimately, they are company men beholden to the boosters and their employees, and the players are just commodities.

4. Just don't let Mack Brown stick around too long---he'll fuck up recruiting.

I'm a UT Austin alum, I know whereof I speak.

And Dabo Swinney ought to lose his job, if the accusations are true.

So much time pushing how “christian” he is made me very suspicious of him.

That whole pious act just comes across as creepy and fake to me.
