And that common ground is stupidity.

And those who discount this possibility shouldn't be in the betting business.

When a game is cancelled, there is no winner. It makes sense that if there is no winner, the money is returned to bettors. The right analogy would be the Board of Elections nullifying the results. If, on the other hand, Trump gets to suspend the election, it will be so he can declare himself a winner. This would be more equivalent to the Super Bowl being suspended after a predetermined team scores the winning touchdown. It may be unethical, illegal and reprehensible, but if one of the two teams gets away with it, there is a winner.

I just don't know how bets are handled when a game is fixed, but there is no legal recourse to nullify the outcome.

Trump is doing a smash-up job at digging his own grave. The more desperate he gets, the more he goes off the rails. I'll be surprised if he makes it until the election.

Popular vote is meaningless. The whole thing will likely hinge on white voters in a handful of rust belt states. And a lot of them are not onboard with the protests and riots. They're quiet, and some may not like Trump, but many are going to vote for him anyway.

Even if Biden wins handily in the electoral college, the margin in the states that put him over the top will be slim.
