This is how right wingers respond to truths:

1. An ad hominem attack - you are stupid
2. A "yawn" indicating it just isn't true. Get statistics, well those come from the government, which is lying.
3. Blaming the soshalust system we've had since FDR
4. Claim that the poor are single mothers and not having a man around is why they are poor - they should just get married or quit having kids when they aren't married.

Anything they can think of, logical or not.

deluded, a leftist or a socialist. But republicans won't answer to the fact that states which are ardently red republican states are the poorest, most backward in the nation in every measure of well being. Take natural resources from deep red states, they will disappear. Is there any wonder why their politicians oppose wind and solar energy and other technological advances in clean energy?

Life is too damn short! The GOP mindset is so alien to me that I can't relate to Republicans on any level. I work with a lot of ex-Republicans. I have been a clinical coordinator for Allied Health Sciences at a public university for the past 8 years. There are a lot of medical professionals who are faculty and when I started there were more Republicans than Democrats. That has changed. Many of the same people are there but their politics have changed, mainly because of Obamacare. They love it. They are frustrated that so many students support the GOP. I live in a very red area so I am sure these kids are parroting their parents.

Part of my reasoning is: They don't deserve my company. And 2: Acquaintanceship helps them justify a sense of legitimacy. And 3: They raise my blood pressure.

and it's impossible to have a legitimate conversation with one. I have a few older co-workers that are (R)s and they don't see the hypocrisy of receiving Social Security and Medicare when they proclaim to be ideologically against it. It's the same way they feel about torture; if some other country does it then it's a crime against humanity, if the U.S. does it then it's because we really needed the information, LOL.

Blue states send money to red states. Many boneheaded red staters love to pan California, but if California kept 15 cents of the money that state sends to red state basket cases, California would pay down it deficit within 7 years and then forever run surpluses. Have any of you noticed that as the populace of red states states become better educated, those states turn purple and occasionally blue.

As long as they're being taken care of by the government, they'll never learn self-reliance and pulling themselves up by their bootstraps.

This isn't really sarcasm, and I can't find an irony emoticon, so I'm going to use a picture of a hipster.

more divorces, more unwed mothers, more of their citizens on public assistance and more people on anti-depressive medications, except for Utah, which has the most highest anti-depressants use in the USA, particularly of it's women.

I've read the statistics in places that referred me to the US census and other sources in liberal websites. I just googled "Red states have highest divorces and teen pregnancy" and got all kinds of hits, including the highest porn use in sites like the Christian Science Monitor, pregnantteenhelp.org, NPR, and the Huffington Post. Same thing for googling "Red states have highest welfare use." I don't know why Utah has the highest use of anti-depressants or if the Mormon population, particularly it's women are the reason. It might stand to reason that the eternally smiley, happy face they have to present to the world, even if they're having marital, financial and family problems might have something to do with it. Holding the home together is their responsibility. They can't be seen as falling off the Stepford wagon.

Somehow they always manage to drain billions out of each state's coffers! No matter what the Republican controlled legislatures and governors do!

They also blame it on Obama. He is omnipotent and has personally destroyed the economies of each red state in order to prepare them for the UN-led invasion that he has planned to set up his Marxist paradise!

of course...
