Whatever trouble he may or may not have caused in his network jobs, he was always right on top of things and brooked no b.s.

(And, no, I don't know whether the rumors spread about his being a difficult person have any foundation -- I'm just saying that I didn't and still don't give a damn if they were true. We need his voice.)

He could be blustery & hard nosed, but I loved him. If I remember correctly, he was the first commentator from our side of the aisle who developed a spine and went after those bastards. Was it Weinberger that (basically) said Americans were too dumb to understand the intricacies of how they were running things that triggered his "how dare you, sir?" takedown? I really, really miss that. We get occasional flashes of brilliance from a select few (Yamiche Alcindor comes to mind), but for the most part, they ask their question, ignore the fact it wasn't answered, and go on to whatever is next on their list.

He spoke truth to power, and didn't equivocate. We need that more than ever now. Wouldn't you love to see him interview Trump?

He did The Resistance for the first year of the administration, but then became convinced that Trump would either be impeached or resign, so he bowed out.

I've missed his voice making noise out there. We've needed him back in it, at a higher-profile level that gets him broader exposure.

C'mon, Keith! Your country needs you!

they can be as unreal as they want as long as reality-based dems ignore the major source of of the alternate reality.

if trump or putin was going to pay $1000 per hour for radio infomercials 1200 radio stations x 15 hrs/day are worth $90MIL/week or almost $5BIL/yr to them . FOR FUCKING FREE. paid for businesses who should be boycotted. and many of them depend heavily the sports broadcasts from more than 100 university and pro teams.

so the alt reality in which global warming and COVID are hoaxes is endorsed by at least 87 universities supporting 260 limbaugh stations.

and the 260 limbaugh stations that have excused racism and cops who kill unarmed black men and boys, excuse putting kids in cages, constantly deny institutional racism, pilloried colin kaepernick and labeled kneeling athletes unAmerican, depend on thousands of black athletes not knowing how much they depend on them.

finally applying actual demand for the hate and lies instead of supplying advertisers to the monopoly.

llimbaugh is dying and they can't replace him with one guy on 600 radio stations - and they can't charge as much in advertising on those stations. many of them are already losing money. the ad industry want's the ears those loud stations reach

artificial intelligence makes it easier and cheaper to digitize and monitor rw radio by an order of magnitude. monitoring without listening. that means stoprush x100 is coming. those stations just spent 2 months outright calling covid a hoax and now echoing and reinforcing trump. those blowhards are responsible for thousands of deaths.

on top of facing that the radio ad industry needs to know it would only take one black athlete to tell his team he didn't want the team broadcasting on RW racist radio to get all teams, college and pro, to have to dissociate with KKK radio

all it would take is for some advertising magazine to publish a piece pointing this stuff out and they will start to force the break up of the monopoly rather than see an exodus of advertisers from those stations.

yeah i liked shultz too. they just made it impossible for talkers like him. randi rhodes too.

….both he and Rhandi Rhodes ALWAYS are ahead of the rest of big media by from anywhere between 1 day to a couple weeks!!!

Free Speech TV on DirecTV runs both of them back to back.

And they have a small nationwide network of AM stations not to mention they can be streamed live.

Thom is on SiriusXM Progress too.

Keith had made a political contribution without prior approval from MSNBC President Phil Griffin. Keith was thus suspended. That happened in November. Keith left MSNBC announcing it on his last show on January 21, 2011. Then Current TV terminated him on March 30, 2012. I, too, wish he was back on MSNBC doing his Countdown with Keith Olbermann show.
