(268,724 posts)to recommend any for us. I think I'll start with Whitelash
barbtries
(28,774 posts)I'm starting with The Underground Railroad and the Geography of Violence in Antebellum America.
A friend recommended 2 books for me, Black Like Me and White Rage, and I have them both but have only read the former. I've read The New Jim Crow and still have We Were Eight Years in Power on my bookshelf.
In the meantime I'm still plowing through the Mueller Report and also reading Crime in Progress. I alternate between relatively light fiction, good literature I haven't read yet, books about trump and republicans, and books on race. I'll be 65 next month and wonder if I'll make it. So many good books, so little time.
I would not want to discount the time I spend reading the news, DU, fb and twitter. Please let us know what you think about Whitelash.

(463 posts)I chose Dangerously Divided, as I am currently concerned with exploring how we have come to our current problems in another persons' perspective.
And thank you Malaise for the link!

(8,543 posts)Clicking that should fill in all the checkboxes. If you then click the Download PDF (zip) button, it should popup a confirmation box to download all of them as one single zip file.
Once you unzip the downloaded file, you will still need to open each PDF in turn to read that section.
I'm not sure how the other download options work, or how the interface is on mobile devices. If you are trying to use those options, I could test them out to see how they work.

(51,034 posts)Under refine list to the far right is a + in a circle. Clicking on that gives you the option to select all and download zip.
Never would have thought to clink on that +.
Worked!. Thanks for the help.
