Senate and House

Romney might be failing, but please don't forget those races in your respective states. Those are as important as the Presidency. We need a strong Congress to get President Obama's back. Senate and House. Obama needs them in his corner.

Don't stop fighting because down ticket is where we need to make some gains. We have miles to go, and we are capable of running every one of them.

Electoral College)...BUT

1. according to RCP, the GOP is still killing us in the HOUSE. If the election were held today, Obama would win the White House 332 to 206 Electoral College votes, but the GOP would still have an overwhelming majority in the House (even if the Dems won ever toss up, the GOP would still have the majority at 229 to 206), and keep enough of the Senate (minimum of 46 seats) to effectively paralyze it.

and,

2. They're holding a billion dollars in reserve to throw into advertising blitzes in swing ridings during the last week before the election. They could very well gain control of both House AND Senate.

Obama might win the election, but he's be in an almost hopeless position.

Democrats are likely to pick up 12-15 seats. 10+ short of control.

Republicans are likely to have a net gain of at least a couple in the Senate.

If the right sees that he is bound to lose it may get more of them off their seats to vote for their Republican Congress persons. They may feel that if they can't get the White House they must at least keep the Congress.

Republicans where I am are pretty demoralized. I'm doing my best to keep them that way, and so is Mitt Romney.
