Do You Ever Wonder How Much These Faux Pas' Move Polls

Did the DemocRATS ad move polls in 2000?
Did the "major league assholes" move polls in 2000?
Did Reagan's Polish/Italian joke move polls in 1980?
Did Ford liberating Poland move polls in 1976?

It seems political races have a certain inertia which is often unfathomable.

they undergo a major change of view.

My Dad was an exception to the rule, though, starting out as a Goldwater republican, then going Indy with John Anderson, and then going Green.
