Gallup: 36% of registered voters LESS likely to vote for Romney due to 47% comments.

Independents 2:1 "less likely" to vote for Romney due to his "47%" remarks.

Interestingly, more voters among ALL income groups are also "less likely" to vote for Mitt because of the remarks!

It will take a while for the full impact to sink in. A lot of people are probably still trying to figure them out and are deciding what to make of them.

I think the fallout will really happen when connected to Medicare. The Republicans in 2010 strangely managed in some areas to make themselves the protecter of Medicare. They have tried that less successfully this year.

But, consider that this is a gift that allows the Democrats to show that the Republicans, at heart, do not really think highly of SS and Medicare -- and can not be trusted to keep them safe.

Incidentally, I am less impressed with this because it pushes people to say that it has an impact -- when it doesn't. What % of the 68% of Democrats had even a 1% chance that they MIGHT vote for Romney. There has to be a better way to get at the impact here.

...being the President of everyone, etc.

And this poll didn't even specifically address the other comments about "kicking the ball down the road" foreign policy plan, slur about "dangerous" Hispanics, etc.

look at the Independent numbers and those for incomes under $60,000.

Also, Mitt scored negatively in every income category more or less likely to vote.

Gallup did this poll quickly. I mean, it has only been out there a full day. It doesn't take into consideration that Mitt has spent the last several hours making it worse. Republican candidates are now coming out against his comments.
