and right wing pundits have been the enablers.

Indeed, I think much of Romney's problem is listening to mindless support allowing him to believe his gaffs are not harmful and too much advice (often conflicting) from Fox News, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, et al.

Fox and others sway Romney so much because Romney never had a core political identity or philosophy.
