What Romney doesn't get is that if he actually has a position on anything might be electable

President Obama will take this election in a landslide and he will do it because people know that he is accomplished, capable, and most importantly does in fact take stances on issues. You know where he will stand on the matter of the moment based on what he has said about it in the past and generally speaking you can tell about how much of his time and persuasive ability will be devoted to the issue.

Romney ain't like that.

Mitt Romney must stand for something, he must have some idea(s) of his own, he can not forever be blown around by the winds of other people's desired fates - but you'd sure never know it by listening to him.

With most Democratic and Republican interactions the Democrat will point toward the sky and say "up". The Republican will scornfully sneer, hold up the good book, and point toward the ground. Romney will point toward the ground. it is a good idea to have Government heavily involved in health care of the state you Governed but not in the nation you intend to Govern. Voodo-economics became Mormon-economics overnight and then was supplanted by Ryan-economics - for about 16 hours, and then it was back to the Mormon version, something Romney is more secrete about than his religion itself. He defends his lack of stance on matters religions with pleas to ignorance, he is after all just a good practicing Mormon, not so much a church leader. When I used to go to church they called Bishops leaders, I guess not so much anymore.

And what all this adds up to is you simply can not trust Romney on any issue - and the Tea Party knows this - and the Religious Right knows this - and the Small Business Community knows this - and every person of color here by birth or choice knows this - and the Farmers and the Ranchers know this - and in truth even the gun-nuts know it. You knock off the two hundred richest contributors to the Romney Campaign and he wouldn't have enough money to get elected Dog Catcher; without those monster donations to and formations of Super Packs this charlatan, this painted face of any color would be nothing. And why? Because he has no stance on anything, no substance, no policy.

Let me ask you something, if Romney's largest single doner made his money by running gambling casinos who long after Romney was sworn in would you expect earnings on gambling to be taxed at a rate equal to lower than financial investments made in the market and for professional gamblers to secretly receive Government subsidies?

Wednesday rant over, thank you for your time and patience. More latter in the week.

I have actually been watching him a little more lately. There is no substance whatsoever to anything he says. He says he'll bring wealth to everybody. I wait for him to say how and there is nothing. He says he'll create jobs. Again, nothing. Well, not nothing. Today in Dallas, he said he'd create a bunch of jobs by allowing dirty and destructive forms of energy to run amok without any restrictions, and that opening up more trade with central and south America would create jobs!!!! Dude, we are broke. Mexico is more broke and is willing to exploit it's people for peanuts. Guess which way the money will flow. From our pockets, to Sam Walton's to Mexico to Romney's rich-ass friends. God I hope people aren't that stupid. I even hope the rich aren't THAT stupid (but I'm afraid they are).
