Went to Costco today...EVERYONE had a mask on, and then THIS GUY

wearing a MAGA hat tries to enter without one. The man at the "check your membership card" at the door said, "Sir, you can't come in here without a mask". Dude was all "I don't HAVE to wear a mask, I have a medical card". The man at the door replied, "Sir, if your medical condition is such that you can't wear a mask in this store, you might want to get home and have someone else shop for you, or avail yourself of our website and shop online"

Maga Dude: "I am NOT wearing a mask"

Costco employee: "Then you are NOT entering this store."

Ten minutes later, at the other side of the store...I saw the dude, MAGA hat and all...wearing a fucking mask.

That is how it's done folks. Stand up to them. Every. effing. time.

Anything coming from China is taking way longer than 6 weeks. I'm still waiting for some clothing I ordered, and it's been almost 3 months. The USPS has it now but they're taking their sweet time about bringing it to me. Long story short, I won't order anything again unless it's "in stock" and ready to ship.

Another shipping partner - unnamed and shielded by the postal service - just turned the packages over only a couple days ago. The postal service has to deal with customers' complaints and fury, but it's the shipping partners that are screwing everybody. Also at least part of the delay is in customs, which is controlled by the federal gov't but not the postal service. So the only thing I know for sure is that my packages left China on June 16th.

When they say it's "in stock" you can believe them - it's in a US warehouse and it will ship immediately.

When they say "ships in X weeks" ... that's what I don't believe any more. Maybe they will ship it then, but I won't get it then. Sadder but wiser.

NONE of the delays people are encountering are because ANY postal worker is "taking their sweet time about bringing it" to you or ANYONE.

If the douchenozzle Trump appointed nitwit heading the USPS is to blame for any slowdown, then blame THAT ASSHOLE, not the millions of Postal workers who take their jobs seriously, but have to work as they are instructed with the tools they are given.

Although even back then they said a mask and a shield together is the most protective

but doctors were saying just less than 2 mos. ago stuff like this >
Dr. Amesh Adalja, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Health Security told Insider it would be extremely unlikely for someone else's viral particles to penetrate your shield, unless someone "sticks their face, sticks themselves directly" where there is a hole.

6/7/2020
https://www.businessinsider.com/face-shield-versus-face-mask-more-comfortable-option-2020-5#wearing-a-mask-in-addition-to-a-shield-is-the-most-iron-clad-form-of-virus-protection-1
“There is no solid evidence about whether a shield is superior to a mask, protection-wise, but experts say there's no reason to think that face shields are necessarily inferior viral barriers”

Oh boy all those people reading all these expert opinions from a month or so ago and have been going around with just a shield since then . Thanks for the latest

I never have had one because I find masks easier but I see many people in only a shield 😣

As a señor citizen, I get to shop during their early hour (9 AM) which is limited to members age 60+. Last week, I saw the ID checker turn away two customers who were obviously younger. The associate was polite, but firm. The young'uns skulked back to their car. During that "golden hour" of shopping, I've noticed that the members there are more responsible, and that the lines at checkout are much, much shorter.

with one shopper in and one shopper out, there was an old man (70s?) in front of me not wearing a mask and holding a sheet of paper. When his turn to go in came, he handed that sheet of paper to the greeter, she looked at it quickly, and waved him inside.

Should the other customers on line have yelled at him, or demanded to read his paper? Maybe even without some phony medical paper, he should not be shopping at all at his age? At risk elderly people should be ordering their groceries online, having them delivered, and staying home?

Just curious what your reaction would be. BTW, I am 71 myself.
