This is a disaster waiting to happen. I don't get the strategy the GOP is implementing here. Schools opening is going to ensure the virus explodes and is in full swing throughout October. More severe shutdowns will be going into effect them.

2. Another meaninless poll since:
Wed Aug 5, 2020, 09:01 AM
Aug 2020

"Notably, even with Republicans highly dissatisfied with the state of the nation, they continue to overwhelmingly approve of the job Trump is doing as president (91%). Consequently, their dissatisfaction may have more to do with what is going on in the country -- the coronavirus and its effect on economic activity, the focus on matters of race -- than the administration's handling of it. To some degree, it could also reflect Republicans' awareness of pre-election polls showing Trump trailing Democrat Joe Biden by a significant margin."

They've been getting their judges. They've dismantled the government and inserted their trolls doing who knows what to their long term benefit.... As long as they can keep the senate and blame this all on Biden, they'll be perfectly content.

But this looks like they are only asking (R)'s
If you add up each of the 3 tiers, (R)'s, (I)'s & (D)'s, when the poll was taken, most add up to >= 100% until April 2020, except Oct 2019.
Aug 2019 - 101%
Sep 2019 - 103%
Oct 2019 - 90%
Nov 2019 - 107%
Dec 2019 - 107%
Jan 2020 - 123%
Feb 2020 - 131%
Mar 2020 - 125%
Apr 2020 - 94%
May 2020 - 97%
Jun 2020 - 63%
Jul 2020 - 39%

This tells me that they are asking everyone their opinion on (R)'s, (I)'s & (D)'s
So how does a poll reach 131% of the population?
And since Satisfaction rating reached 80% in Feb 2020, who among use would consider that the (R)'s had an 80% satisfaction rating?
This would only come from (R)'s.

three tiers are not one population. I think this should be thought of as three separate polls:

A poll for democrats, another for independents and a third for republicans. On that basis the three tiers could theoretically add up to 300%.

because all the polls show (D)'s at <= 15%, with June at 6% satisfactory!
If majority of the people asked were (D)'s they'd be at 80%.
And if (D)'s & (R)'s were equally asked, then I would think that the poll numbers would both be around 40%.

I believe that these have to be Fox from viewers.

They could be asking,
Are you an (R), (I) or (D)?
Then ask; Are you satisfied with the way things are going in this country?

Then 80% of the (R)'s asked are probably satisfied the way things are going.
While <15% (D)'s are satisfied the way things are going. I don't know what (D) would think that.

...randomly selected Democrats, not self-selected DU democrats. People who say "I'm a Democrat" to a pollster may not even vote or otherwise be politically active. They may have voted for Trump, and may even vote for him again. There aren't that many of them, but they show up in a randomly selected sample.
