Pew has Trump's disapproval at 59%.

H.W. Bush hit 59%, his lowest recorded disapproval, in June/August of 1992.

Trump is on a similar trajectory - and only ten-points from Bush's all-time stinker of 69% in April, 2008. I don't know if he'll hit that level but it's sinking fast.

I remember it as being more "out of it" - not able to relate to the people and the needs of that time.

But then again, it's not like BunkerBoy is doing any better at that while he's being hated for so many other things!

(upon further reflection regarding "out-of-it" - he had expressed concern and not understanding of this "vision" thing..... )

((And again, he was MILES AHEAD with that as opposed to BunkerBoy - name ONE THING that he says he will do for another four years.
Inspiring, isn't it?))

But after he raised taxes, republicans decided not to forgive him for breaking his "no new taxes" pledge (even though they make Reagan a saint after he raised taxes 11 times)

So disapproval was widespread. Fairly shallow, but widespread.

Obama is a good example of this. Even when his approval slipped, his favorability numbers were always much better. I think the worst he was in this regard was -15 in November, 2014.

And it was brief. For the most part, Obama was always in the positive on these numbers:

Trump? Trump has never been positive in this metric. Ever.

He's currently at -15 but in the last three polls, his total has been -17, -17 and -16.

To compare, Biden is -1.6 and was +9 in the most recent poll:
