Two close friends of mine married very young. Totally in love, two kids, stable marriage. Then he gets very ill and is on the list for a heart transplant. Can’t work, can’t go watch the kids soccer games, is basically stuck at home watching TV. Cheapest cable package they can afford has...you guessed it...Fox News. He sits at home watching Fox News almost 24x7, Their message of “ the other” being the cause of all his problems resonates. He changes completely. It was scary to see. He is now angry, paranoid, and miserable...and loves Trump. Before being stuck at home He would have laughed at Trump and thought him an idiot.

People can change from when you married them.

discomfort because there has been no real exposure? If it's something you can help her with then I would try that. There are some incredible documentaries that you could watch together. I just don't know the depth and attitude of her racism.
