Would have been more productive.
Im old enough to have mixed feelings about progressive challengers upsetting moderate Dems in Congressional or gubernatorial primaries. Not because I dont like progressives, but because in *some cases* I worry about whether the general election will be lost.
On the other hand, party establishment machinations to sideline progressive challengers make me think they are shutting out an authentic voice who actually had a BETTER chance of winning.
On a seemingly unrelated note, I am scanning DU headlines this morning looking for what to send a good friend who is generally apolitical but since the pandemic has become influenced by rightwing propaganda like Plandemic and other insidious messaging.

(12,334 posts)One thing that sticks in my memory, crowds for Bernie were enthusiastic. Crowds for Trump were enthusiastic.
Hillary was met by many with resignation. Crowd energy was different. Low keyed.
She was the candidate, we would and did vote for her. Were we happy about her?
With Bernie, we were getting someone who was about change. Maybe that change would be blocked by Congress but at least he was for it. Single payer. Banking reform.
With Hillary, all's ya got was things wouldn't get worse.
Progressives? How many times did we read on this board, "I wish A.O.C. was able to run today?'
