History teacher (high school) who argued with students that NATO is "North American!" Treaty Org.

English teachers who argye that "these ones" is proper.

And so on.

Ozarks hills leave few roads throughout that area)...however, this only leaves 7 other states wide open! Of course this won't happen.

And what is getting me about this whole thing, is where are they going to get all of the teachers to do this reopening?

From what I hear, here on DU and other local news, teachers are retiring right and left, and school administrators are not able to hire fast enough replacements.

I don't blame them (the retiring teachers nor the entire industry not able to replace the teachers either, who would want to work in perhaps a dangerous place w/o assurances of the safety of all)? My compassion goes out to all of these people in the entire school infrastructure, being forced to work purely as a political ploy and not from a safety first point-of-view.

I hope that in every state, these same teachers stand up and kick their current leaders out of state government (like they did in OK) as they so willingly put their lives (teachers and students, everyone involved etc.) in harms' way (when there isn't a 100% sure and safe way to protect all, to detect infections quickly, other than a 2 week isolation process).
