(7,220 posts)I know we're supposed to support whoever, and I do. I'll be thrilled for Harris or Rice if they are chosen. Or whoever...it'll be a woman and she'll be amazing and it will be awesome.
But DUCKWORTH!!! I can't think of a single downside, and like a bazillion upsides.
Please, Joe, pleeeeease.

(64,995 posts)That such hyperbole I don't know where to start.
But, there's this:
You say you're an old white guy, but you just SPOKE FOR the black & Hispanic communities.
Might want to reconsider who is making the racial gaffes.

I attacked the ridiculousness of your contention.

(6,143 posts)The VP is not about making you or anyone else here on DU happy. It is about the person who best helps the ticket win in November. I'm not saying that it won't be Duckworth, but don't be too disappointed if it isn't.

(7,430 posts)any of the primary candidates, the Dems have an embarrassment of riches. The talent is widespread. Duckworth, Rice, Harris, Abrams, on and on. I want to see this new wave of Dems take over the party. It's where the vibrancy is, where the future is.
