(29,671 posts)I live in a border state and right now everyone is happy they no longer are forced to hear nonstop Kobach and Bob Hamilton commercials.
Most of the people I know are in Johnson and Wyandotte, with a few in Lawrence/Topeka/Manhattan but I haven't heard any really negative stuff about Bollier. Other, everyone has had nonstop discussion about when Roger Marshall was arrested.
Trump/Biden-sounds about right.

(34,095 posts)I would hear all the good stuff, but then I really do not watch local anything anymore but the weather because I cannot abide smiling people talking about sad, hard things....idiot readers in other words.
I just learned about that arrest and then learned about how he made it all go away. Oddly I saw it first on an old Huelskamp (spit 3x) site. Over a land border disagreement he tried to run some guy down with his truck. Yes, the perfect rep from Kansas.
I still think Bollier has a chance. I wish Biden did but I do not really see that happening. People here do love a strong woman so perhaps Harris might carry him over?
I'm just outside of the KC metro on the MO side. If there's one thing I'm happy about it's that I'll never hear another Bob Hamilton for Senate commercial. I hope the 4 million he borrowed in loans causes bankruptcy.

(29,671 posts)Normally I'd say no but Parson is mostly unliked. He was elected Lt Gov and was woefully underqualified to be governor. His approach to covid has been awful. He wants Medicaid expansion, CLEAN, medical marijuana and the minimum wage increase overturned. He just eliminated over 450 job classifications with state government workers. (I was one and now I'm reclassified at a lower wage.) He's threatened our state pensions, insurance and benefits. He refuses collective bargaining, letting contracts sit. He just cut more state employees wages by 3-5% on July 1. He's forcing school districts to open or else lose funding.
I'm hoping Nicole pulls it off.
I would not listen to anything local, that stuff drives me absolutely nuts. My tolerance at this age is about -10.
He borrowed 4 million? OMG that is a stunning number. Wow. He is the plumber right? Man, he is going to be doing a lot of septic or sewer work to make up for that! It sounds like he is going right back to where he belongs.
Both of my sons live on the Missouri side, not by much. One is down off the Paseo a block away from 18th and Vine. The other a little more inside.....I can't find my way around without serious thought so that is the best I can do. It is funny, they were both giving me crap about Kobach but after some of the recent races and decisions made in Mo. they kinda stopped. I think we pass crazy back and forth.
