Snip:
Trump and his team believe Harris will more than handle Vice President Mike Pence during that event.
They thought she could chew him up and spit him out and they pointed to her cross-examination of one Bill Barr, Wallace said, referring to Harris grilling of the attorney general during a Senate hearing last year.
At the time, Trump called Harris nasty over the line of questioning and repeated the insult on Tuesday.
Wallace also pointed to Harris debates with Biden when both were seeking the presidential nomination.
She drew blood against former Vice President Biden, Wallace said. I dont know that theres a better debater or questioner on the political field right now. Her skill set is unmatched.

(3,781 posts)Pence is probably too dumb to be afraid of what she's going to do to him in the debate, but he absolutely SHOULD be.

(14,557 posts)But did you see her today? It isn't just the debate stage where she will make a difference. She got up on a stage and talked about how Obama and Biden took care of business during the Ebola breakout and we had only four deaths, then compared that to Trump.
You know, that was only twenty or thirty seconds. Harris is going to spend the rest of this campaign attacking Trump's horrible record, and then when she and Biden are elected, she will pursue social justice through justice reform.
I'm pretty excited about Harris being on the ticket.

(6,785 posts)No one mentions how big a man it takes to embrace someone who drew his blood
Sure, that ability, as part of her skill set will be valuable to him. It still shows that he's a big man. And he's running against a whiny little boy.

(47,238 posts)than his running mate and probably knows how such attacks against a fellow Democrat can come back and bite you down the road. Though I'm sure the attack probably upset him, especially coming from a friend of the family, he also knows that younger politicians get all kinds of really bad advice from political consultants, whereas Joe is probably more likely to keep his own counsel.
I was upset with the attack at the time, but Joe was able to see past it and as his notes indicated, not hold a grudge. So I could as well.

(10,775 posts)Harris had Barr sweating because he was afraid of committing perjury, but this creepy pseudo-Christian bootlicker has shown over and over that he has no such compunctions against lying. Like he did in his Kaine debate, he will simply deny any facts he doesn't like.

(19,136 posts)a formless quivering blob of jelly in the middle of the stage. I'm sooooooo going to enjoy that debate. Too bad she won't be afforded the same chance to take on Trump face to face.
