There are so many violence-based stories in the headlines these days, so bleak, so wrong, and how insane is that. Shattering lives at the point of a gun is becoming epidemic… spread by irrational fear and paranoia instead of disease.

but sirens at night are my lullaby, too. Worse are the damned police choppers that keep circling overhead for an hour or two.

Most of what's wrong with my part of town is poverty. With it comes ignorance and the hopelessness that drives people to numb out with alcohol.

keep us at each others throats, keep us from having health care or participating fully in democracy and all the other tricks they have in their bag to keep us preoccupied, they can rob this country blind.
The republican party's job is to run interference for them
