The Last Great Race: The Iditarod 2013 begins today

In less than 6 hours: http://iditarod.com/

We have a local connection to the race this year. A local youth competitor in the Jr. class from a few towns over (Clarkson, N.Y.) won this years Jr. Iditarod. First time that a non-Alaskan has won the Jr. class since 1977.

Well here's to a safe, competitive race this year!

I'm sure those slave were born to pick cotton.
