I was gone for a few weeks and obviously missed something - why are flags lowered today?

Governor Brewer has ordered that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset Saturday, March 2, 2013 in honor of SSgt. Davis. Governor Brewer previously ordered that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset Tuesday, February 26th in honor of SSgt. Davis who died on February 22nd in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Individual, businesses, and other organizations are encouraged to join in this tribute.

Effective sunrise 3/2/2013 through sunset 3/2/2013
