I scored 210. I write pretty good now but failed 2nd Grade because I could not read or write. It took me years to catch up to most people. I ended up scoring above average in English on my SAT. To this day I don't read a lot. I do read the news but not books because it hurts my eyes and I can't concentrate on them.
So what is your score?

(21,363 posts)at a time, non- fiction, now it takes me six months to read a Stephen King novel. I rarely post much these days because can rarely focus enough to be coherent. Very frustrating and very depressing.
Don't know if it matters, but I am left-handed like WinkyDink. I can spell very well.

(34,179 posts)Seriously, none of the options state that "you don't have dyslexia". Furthermore, a lot of the conditions they mention either have no relation to dyslexia, or could be related to other conditions. Oh, and you don't think a site titled "Beating Dyslexia" has a vested interest in "diagnosing" as many people as possible with dyslexia?
Dyslexia is a serious condition, one that shouldn't be diagnosed with a fluff online test.

(28,926 posts)Snip> Just like all the other online dyslexia tests this is not a diagnosis. However if it does indicate the possibility of dyslexia you may want to seek further help and advice. For a full diagnosis you would need to be assessed by an educational or chartered psychologist.
I am sure a real diagnosis takes at least an hour to do with someone certified.

(42,770 posts)I worked in a tall building for a year. There were two banks of elevators, right and left.
When we got off on our floor - everyone I was with always intuitively knew which way to turn to get our office, except me. (Once you got off, there were entrances to offices to the right and to the left and they both looked the same).
Seems other people naturally remembered which side the got on on the lobby floor and translated this to which way to turn on our floor.
I always thought this might be some form of dyslexia
