I mean, who WOULDN'T shoot somebody over this?

The Honey Boo Boo sketti recipe is easy to replicate. To make it, Taylor says to nuke 8 ounces of ketchup and 8 ounces of margarine together in the microwave, stir and dump over 1 pound of cooked spaghetti noodles.

I'm 68 in 2 months, and I've forgotten more about street fighting than most of these newborns ever knew or ever will. My main sensei was a man who conducted regular classes for a business, but then the students he liked best got invited to stay after hours for special instruction. When you were ready to buck for a new belt, you got locked in the dojo around midnight and upperclassmen tried to beat the tar out of you. (Sensei was there to keep it from getting out of hand.) The only thing that mattered was whether you wimped out and wanted to leave. Not your technique or lack of it. That could be taught. He wanted to know who'd run, because that's harder to correct.

Even with the strictest discipline, we managed to have fun. One day he mentioned that it's impossible for most people to keep their eyes open with a powerful fist being thrown at their face from close up. I said, "I can do it, Sensei." So he stood me up in front of the class and threw a punch that stopped a nanosecond before smashing my face. But I didn't blink at all. He asked, "How did you manage to do this?" Nobody surprised Mr. Minh very often.

I bowed and said solemnly, "By thinking how rich I'd be if you missed, Sensei."

The whole room burst out in laughter. I was the only one who didn't have to duckwalk around the whole place.

A World War II veteran, dressed in his uniform, came to the White House Gate on January 21, 2009, and asked to speak to President Bush.

"Sir, Mr. Bush is no longer president. Would you like to speak to President Obama instead?"
'No, that's okay." He turned and left.

After a week of him doing the same thing, the guard finally asked why he was doing it."I like hearing it."

When it first arrived, back in the dark ages, it was pretty good. So was History Channel. But I've been too busy a long time and now don't indulge myself in anything but basic cable due to $. It's beginning to sound as if I'm not missing much. People have told me History Channel has prostituted itself too. PBS might not be perfect, but so far at least it's pretty good.

As for watching too much tv, that's true of most people. Isaac Asimov blamed tv for many social ills. Before its advent people used to sit outside of an evening visiting, getting to know the neighbors. If anything bad started to happen, somebody saw and stopped it, at least more often than now. Kids ran and played in the streets, and if a stranger showed up everyone knew it. Can you hardly imagine whole families sleeping on the roof of apartment buildings during the worst of summer before air conditioning? It seems crazy now.

I enjoyed Asimov's fiction but his textbooks were even better. For instance, he could explain mathematics as well as Krugman does economics.

that extreme Right Wing Ding Bats can't last on Tv. They can only dwell in the subterranium shadows of radio. Usually not long after the general public gets sight of them on television and sees how politically and spiritually twisted they are they are sent back down into the bowels of radio never more to dwell amongst the sane.

Limbaugh had two stints on tv, one on, I think it was, WOR Channel 9 and the other on ESPN and he couldn't help himself from repulsing the general public so much that he had to be removed from our sight twice already. I mean you have to be pretty repulsive to mess up a sports gig via your on screen statements and Limbaugh did.

And we all know how Beck had to be removed in a straight jacket from his stint before the American viewing audience.

So Nugent's expulsion makes perfect sense.

Hank William Jr. too. He's gone as well.

Palin. Gone at Fox.

Buchanan. Gone from CNN.

Who was that other bozo at Fox? Gibbons...something like that? Gone.

Just get these bozos under the disinfecting light of a television studio for all the world to see and their own stupid statements and extremism repulses the rest of humanity so much, they are eventually wisked from our sight and relegated to the shadows of radio ...where the low brow male republican bozo can be brainwashed by them on their morning and late afternoon commutes.
