Romney: ‘Obamacare’ Was Attractive To Minority, Low-Income Voters

Romney: ‘Obamacare’ Was Attractive To Minority, Low-Income Voters

Mitt Romney stood by his belief that President Obama was aided in his re-election by giving gifts to minority voters, during an interview that aired on "Fox News Sunday."

"The president had the power of incumbency, 'Obamacare' was very attractive, particularly to those without insurance, and they came out in large numbers to vote," Romney said. "So that was part of a successful campaign."

Romney first made comments to this effect on a conference call with donors after the November election, when he said Obama had been “very generous” in doling out “big gifts” to “the African American community, the Hispanic community and young people” as well as women during his first term. Asked about them in the Fox News interview, recorded earlier this week in his California home, he reiterated that belief.

I bet you $10,000!

Why is Mitt still trying to destroy the Republican Party? I mean, isn't Mitt's party claiming that it doesn't want to be the party of stupid?

This helps.

The vast majority of Obamacare aka the Affordable Care Act does not kick in until
2014 so all those poor people who got "free stuff" and then turned out to vote for
Obama's re-election is pure bunk!

I think meglamaniacs like him don't like to lose.
It gnaws at their insides something awful.

But all these statements make him look like the biggest racist.

in such a way that 'heads' he wins and 'tails' his opponents lose. In his entitlement that perversion losing is not in the natural order for a person such as him.

Particularly the 50%+ who don't have job-based insurance. Hubby lost his day job in 2011 and we can only afford high-deductible catastrophic coverage on what we make as self-employed now. DAMN STRAIGHT I want Obamacare!!!

The Republican party is vitally dependent on a large base of essentially stupid/naive people. For the smart ones to keep their power, they have to lie and "sell" to the dumb ones.

Think Progress:

<...>

During the course of the interview, Romney agreed with Wallace that his “47 percent” comment — his claim that 47 percent of the country will vote for Obama because they are “dependent upon government” and “believe that they are victims” — hurt his campaign by leaving the impression that he did not like many voters. Nevertheless, this explanation of his loss is reminiscent of the explanation he gave his donors for his defeat shortly after the election — Obama won because of “the gifts” he gave to African-Americans, Latinos and young voters.

At this time in America there are thousands of stores that will sell you four bags of concrete and a washtub with no questions asked. Romney knows that in the movies cement overshoes are the fate of everyone who fucks over the mafia. Because Romney promised the Kochs he'd wipe out their tax bill after he was elected if they funded his campaign, and he didn't get elected, they are currently out for him.

Can't you just imagine Mitt in a remake of The Blues Brothers, on his knees explaining to Carrie Fisher why he abandoned her at the altar? "It's not my fault I swear to God!"
