Man OWNING Department of Homeland Security and their idiotic immigration checkpoints.

Some of these checkpoints are 30-100 miles inside the border.

I read a little about this guy and he is a little out there for me but I still cheer him not allowing the Feds to try to gain more control over free travel. The police/feds are already out of control. Nice to see someone fighting back.

There are three ways to get to Tucson fro here, all have checkpoints and with dogs.
Apparently, the dogs can sniff out an illegal immigrant.
Once, a dog alerted on a friend's gas tank. The agents shoved my friend into the back of a car, then drove him and his truck about 60 miles to be x-rayed. Nothing was found, and he was released hours later with 120 miles of gas used.

The Supreme Court has ruled that a drug dog sniff of a car is NOT a search under the meaning of the Fourth Amendment. Mind-boggling, but there it is. Ditto for drug dog searches of packages at shipping companies.

The hope is that the high court will set a higher standard for a home search. A man's home is his castle, you know. They disallowed heat signature scans of homes.

And they can't arrest you for disobeying a lawful order because they can't lawfully order a search without probable cause. If they did, they would lose their qualified immunity and they could be personally sued in court.

That said, they can put on quite a show of authority that makes most people buckle under.

at interior check-points. Just don't try this at the Border or at the airport, kids. You have no constitutional right to fly or to be admitted to the US without inspection.

One can't be arrested or detained in a motor vehicle w/out probable cause at immigration checkpoints. Sobriety check points, however, do not have the same probable cause requirements.

Never claimed the checkpoints were illegal under current 4th Amendment doctrine.

2) Border crossings have been near net zero to NEGATIVE in recent years. We don't even have a real problem at the border.

3) This ain't the border.
