Romney: "It's Killing Me Not To Be In The White House"

Romney: "It's Killing Me Not To Be In The White House"

by eXtina

Well it sure isn't killing me. On the contrary, t there would have been a greater likelihood of it killing me if Mitt Romney were in the White House today.

But this is possibly the very best schadenfruede left over from Mitt Romney's failed presidential run - it is killing him. Not being in that White House, solving those national problems.

Because you know, he would have done such a better job than President Obama is doing right now, with that sequester thing.

The sequester would have been 'solved' by now according to Ann Romney. Sure it would have, all the budget cuts the GOP wants would have been targeted at social safety net programs instead of defense - as they have been 'negotiating'.

Ann Romney said her husband, had he won, would have solved the sequester by now.
“I totally believe at this moment, if Mitt were there in the office, that we would not be facing sequestration right now,” she said.

Ha ha ha ha, yeah, 'solved'.

<...>

And let's not overlook this unforgettable gem, as we bask in the glow of Mitt's misery. Ever since he spouted this during the campaign I've waited for the opportunity to remind Mitt that he said this, and it probably doesn't get any better than right now:

Between the silly white horse prophecy and his status as a (pinchbeck) aristocrat, he thought he would gain the office, that he was fully entitled to it, and the election was only a formality.

He still doesn't get the fact that he defeated himself by being an out of touch patrician who the majority of Americans saw through pretty easily.

of wealthy white men impervious to reality. So since he didn't and couldn't win, he and wife want to "act" like they were thrown out of the office they didn't even hold?????

Here's the truth, it wasn't the 47% remark, it wasn't the vague plan that included massive cuts that you wouldn't fess up to, it sure as hell wasn't about the trees in Michigan, and it wasn't the doofus way in which you spoke to the europeans about the olympics or anything else.

It WAS that, for once, in your privileged life, you found people who DON'T like you stupid and they didn't lie about it to your face.

Even though the sequester does cut spending and address the deficit it's not the right kind of cutting for him.

I wish he'd keep his mouth closed (for once) gracefully accept his rightful position in the hall of epic disasters.

Because the republicans would have no reason to have one since it's primarily being done so they don't have to work with Obama. Of course, whatever they came up with to avoid it would have sucked royally.

I forget who said it, but one (at the time) recent failed presidential candidate asked another one (who lost years ago) when the hurt goes away from losing the election, and the second one said something like, "As soon as it does, I'll let you know."

I hope it's the same with Mitt.

the guys in his own party to "do what needs to be done," but according to Mitt, the Republicans on the Hill, the Republicans in general, and the idiot pundits, "what needs to be done" is for the party that won the election to simply abandon all its own principles, all the ideas it campaigned (and won on) and let the party that lost have its own way on all the policies that the American people voted against. To them "leadership" means leading the Democrats to give the Republicans everything they want.

But with the plan Romney supported (Ryan's budget), it also would have meant the end of the middle class and income disparity in the country would have jumped drastically.

Mitt yammering on about people's pain is more than I can take because he made his
money screwing people out of their jobs, health care, and pensions.

BTW Mitt you lost all 4 of your home states .... 5 if you count Ryan's state of Wisconsin ...
and still he and the republicans act like they won the election and can set the terms of
how America should run.
