Oh my gosh WHY????!!!!

"He said, 'I am going to kill you if you don't give me your money,'" said Sherry West. She said she insisted she had no cash so the older boy shot her in the leg.

"He says, 'Well, I am going to kill your baby.'"

She tried to shield the baby, but the boy shoved her away and shot the infant in the head, she said."


If she didn't have money, why shoot her in the leg when he said he'd kill her? And why kill the baby and then not kill her? She's an eyewitness.

Very odd, no other witnesses around, I wonder if this is a Susan Smith/Charles Stuart scenario.

I'm getting the same vibe I did from a case here in Boise a couple years ago, a mom and step-dad got on television bawling their eyes out claiming their 8-year-old boy was kidnapped.

To make a long story short, after a massive man-hunt, turned out the step-dad beat the kid to death and the mother helped dispose of the body in a canal.

I really hope my vibe is wrong on this, but "violent youth with guns" sure makes a convenient cover story, considering she's the only witness to the crime...

They shot the baby in the head but the mother in the leg?

Something does not add up.

As someone who sometimes watches real life tv crime mysteries, my first thought was the mother herself.

I'm guessing the cops had her hands tested to determine whether she had fired a gun, before wasting any significant time on her story about 2 kids having committed the cold blooded murder.

The "story" sounds unbelievable and repulsive. Normally I would say, there's no way kids that young would just shoot a baby so brutally, but these days, anything is possible.

of the article. If they're going to murder,why leave the mother as a witness and kill an infant who is no danger to them. I'll bet the police aren't buying it either.

Did she shoot herself or did someone else shoot her?

I don't have any problem believing it at all.

I can't help but wondering whether we should be believing the mother's story or not.
