In the hospital, the staff bathrooms are asexual. Hospital rooms are assigned according to the person's legal sex. A transitioning sex reassignment person usually gets a private room because until the surgery and the legal change, they're neither one nor the other.

I've walked into the Jane and found a drag queen here and there. Hey, you gotta go when you gotta go and unless they pee in the sink because there are no urinals, it's OK with me. I've never seen any of them do that, the tuck requires privacy to undo and readjust so they use stalls, it's just the principle of the thing.

It's better than having them risk assault next door in the John.
