take him seriously. He was absolutely giddy over how wonderful his President was and by association, Dick. No one falls for that bullshit then and gets away with being on the other side now. This should be smeared in Tweety's face every time him mentions Bush or Cheeeeney.

I don't really remember him being THAT much against the war, and I may be wrong because I just really don't remember, but I'll give him kudos on the water-boarding.
