But too many people get off on doing the "liberal church lady" thing. Because they are so superior to the crime victims...

somehow that's relevant to her plotting to kill her own baby.

They knee-jerked to the Susan Smith scenario, and tripled-down.

Can we now stop pointing at the mother? I certainly hope so. Let her grieve the loss of her child.

I know that some people like to look for the least likely theory, but this is ridiculous. Occam's Razor would seem to point to the horses in this story, rather than the zebra, I think.

Let the poor woman grieve her loss and leave her alone. That's my advice for the Nancy Grace wannabes.

two teenagers raised around violence and got it from their parents. It seems like they picked a defenseless female, also struggling to make ends meet, to prey on. They probably picked on her because they thought she was easy and nobody would care, but it got publicity. I think that is the case, because I have come into contact with kids and gangs myself. I bet they been in contact with the law before also. They just run around like ruffians. If he is truly the murderer, it appears he has no contact with his father and was born to a 19 year old mother. I suspect it is another case of kids in trouble with the law, having kids that do the same. The most important thing to them was money and not the life of an innocent child. It goes back to the gun issue and if those people living in upscaled communities care. I just wonder where he got the gun and how he was able to obtain it? It is probably a matter of the whole community getting together and dealing with marauding teens. I would check and see if the gun was registered or stolen. One way or another, I would come down on the persons allowing them to even obtain a gun.

to shoot her and her baby so she could collect on the fat $5-10K insurance policy" with the next step being "why didn't that crazy woman throw herself in front of the bullets meant for her child?"

...the Susan Smith story is really etched in the national psyche...

Problem is--giving those who jump to conclusions a little slack--we are inundated with bizarre reality stories daily. But wait a minute (or two) before indicting the victim?

The problem is poverty, bad kids with bad examples all around them...and

GUNS.

Put the owner of this gun in jail for a LONG time. The only way to have a hope of stopping this.
