I hope UP! with the new guy is merely changing hosts...

And not formats. I was a novel approach for weekend programming. No pandering to political hacks windsocking for hours to score points with their constituents.

Sadly, I anticipate Chris's new show will be cookie-cutter primetime programming. Nothing like UP! just another hour of...Rachel.

I hope I'm wrong, but that's my hunch.

once he's comfortable, the new host (Steve Kornacki will imprint it with HIS own style & choice of topics. It's the normal thing to do.

In a way it's a bit sad, because a 1 hour format for the time-period Chris Hayes is going to, is not enough time for him, and 2 hours may be a bit much for Steve..

Time will tell..

A better option would be for the extra hour of Hardball-the-rerun should be split between Rachel and Chris.. 90 minutes each..

And give Rachel and Chris each 2 hours.

Or bring Ed Schultz back.

Or move Alex Wagner into prime time.

Or any combination of the above.

Or put two hours of prison shows on. I don't care.

Just get rid of Hardball.
