Did you know that Democratic Underground is an advocacy website, and Drudge Report is not?

I took my laptop along with me on an errand because I knew I would have to wait at least an hour for services. At the place of business I connected with their wireless service and when I tried to sign on to DU it said that it violated the terms of agreement because it was an advocacy group. So, out of curiosity I went to see if they blocked the Drudge Report. I had no problem connecting to it.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

It sounds to me, however, as though the thought police have been at work.

I suspect Drudge is not blocked because that is a straight news site.

It shouldn't be necessary, but here it is:

It is kind of odd that a business would block anything on the public network it makes available for customers.

(I have DU unblocked with the business justification that it is "technical&quot

I saw major improvement at the YMCA when they started to allow us to see more than the FoxNews network. I just assumed that this was spreading to other businesses in the area. Guess it's not happening fast enough.
