Steubenville NAACP Official Slanders the Girl his Registered-Sex-Offender Friend Raped

Yes, that is correct: one Royal Mayo, past president and current board member of the Steubenville NAACP has gone on record as blaming the victim (calling her, among other things, "drunk and willing&quot for the rape committed on her by Mayo's BFF Malik Richmond. Said Richmond is, of course, a convicted criminal. But the mere fact that the evidence proved him guilty does not persuade this Royal asshole. Nope, like Dubya with Putin, Mayo can look into Malik's heart and see his innocence.

More at the link, including a link to Mayo's Facebook page. I encourage you to head on over there and enlighten the man, if such a thing is even possible: http://bluntandcranky.wordpress.com/2013/03/28/steubenville-naacp-official-slanders-girl-his-friend-raped/

Always NO until yes can be given without being under the influence. If this was his daughter would he want the same said about her? If he would have said the guys was looking for trouble and even video the horrible scene and was willing participates then he would be right. Too much of this happens, why did the two guys take a stand and halt this before it got out of hand? They did the crime so now they can do the time. Don't throw the victim under the bus.

"A lot has happened just in my lifetime. I was born in 1967. To have him win 40 years later by popular vote, it's incredible," Mayo said.

Well, Royal screw up, thanks for nothing. Progressing without your help - we don't need thinkers like you -

Never ceases to amaze me about why it is tolerated and even encouraged at times. The language and disrespect targeted at women is just incredible.

Black America has a huge violence problem, and its not just due to guns. We do it to ourselves over and over again.

I wish people would yet it through their heads rape is rape. Unless there a definitive yes the answer is no and when you proceed after being told no that's rape period. No grey area no well she was drunk no its rape. This shit needs to be called out publicly and this man should lose his position period.
