KCPD: Eyes found at Northland gas station not human
Service station employee found eyes in box on trash bin
UPDATED 2:25 PM CDT Mar 28, 2013
KANSAS CITY, Mo. Kansas City police said they are no longer investigating after a set of eyes were found in a container at a Northland gas station.
Police said the eyeballs were not human; they likely were from a pig. And they added that no crime was committed.
Police said they were called to a Conoco service station at Northwest 112th Street and North Ambassador Drive late Wednesday by a worker who found a package on top of the trash bin.
"I noticed a box sitting on top of a trash can," said worker Latishia McClure. "All it was was a cardboard box that said, 'Keep refrigerated' on it and I opened it up, there's a cooler inside and inside that cooler was a little box."
